The Charlotte Division of Textile Rubber, founded in 1958, is a full-service custom latex compounding facility. We use acrylic, SBR, EVA, natural, and neoprene latices to make backcoatings for a wide variety of goods including:
- Upholstery
- Drapery
- Mattress ticking
- Automotive carpeting
- Nonwovens
- Nonskid rugs
- Carpet
And we do much more. We also make water-based adhesives for polyurethane foams, specialty dispersions, moldable compounds, and stabilizers for fabrics in cotton, polyester, cotton/polyester blends, acrylics and fiberglass, as well as fire-retardant coatings.
With our own fleet of trucks, we are accustomed to supplying high-volume coating plants on a just-in-time basis. Our fully equipped laboratory, staffed by five full-time chemists, assures continuous quality control and the research capability to bring new products to market.
