The Polymer Technology Group (PTG) has evolved from the “Original” Latex Division of Textile Rubber and Chemical Company which has been providing quality latex based products to the carpet and rug markets for over 50 years. PTG offers advanced technology in water based latex products for the Floorcoverings industry as well as custom compounded products used in many diverse market segments today such as:

Additional Products: We also offer patented technology for vulcanizable compounds with the curing component added during compounding, also known as a “one component” system, which simplifies the manufacturing process. It helps eliminate waste and plant level VOC emissions of the curing agents. We also offer the technology to “chemically blow” latex compounds rather than mechanically froth in applications that benefit from this system.

Dedicated Staff: Our laboratory staff includes over 100 years of combined latex experience to help guide our customers to successful product coatings and product performance. The sales staff combines for a total of 80 years of customer support. Our technical service staff is on call 24 hrs. per day, 7 days a week and are some of the most knowledgeable technicians in the industry ready to work with each customer on a personal basis. Our Transport staff, with a dedicated fleet of trucks and railcars, are able to maintain a record of 99% or better of on-time deliveries.

Quality Programs: PTG implemented the principles of “Lean Manufacturing”, guided by the Georgia Institute of Technology over four years ago. This program has streamlined our operations therefore increasing the quality of our product line and helping to reduce costs for our customer base. With our own dedicated fleet of trucks and railcars we are able to maintain a record of 99% or better of on-time deliveries. PTG is also ISO 9001: 2000 certified.
